Asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions about Michelonian Web Hosting
How
long
will it take to setup my web hosting account?
All
new accounts are setup within 24 hours, often within a few minutes.
Once we have verified your payment and domain information you will
receive a welcome email containing your username, password and
everything you need to get started.
Do
you provide a shared SSL
Certificate on the server?
Yes,
every Michelonian server has it's own SSL certificate installed,
saving you the cost of buying your own (normally about US$79). To use
the shared SSL all you have to do is point your visitors to
https://your.servername.com/~username/ Please see your welcome email
for your server and
username.
What
nameservers should I set my domain to?
The
nameservers (DNS) for Michelonian web hosting are normally
ns20.host-care.com
and
ns21.host-care.com
- The DNS for your domain
will
be confirmed in the welcome email. You will also be provided with an up to date ip address fo the name servers.
Please
note it can
still take
24-48 hours after you set the nameservers for your domain name to
'propagate' (register around the Internet) and become fully active,
there is nothing we can do about this, it's just the way the Internet
works.
How
to I login to my control panel?
The
Control Panel (cPanel) is used to configure the features of your
Michelonian hosting account, to log into your cPanel you can use either
the IP address or your domain name followed by :2082, for example:
http://12.34.56.789:2082
or http://www.yourdomain.com:2082 (after
